The Outpatient Community Rehabilitation Centre in G.A. Villingili, known as Dhagena, is operated by the National Drug Agency under section 47 of the Drugs Act (Law No. 17/2011). It treats people who use drugs in the surrounding region, teaches them to live a straightforward life without drugs, and works to help them become accepted members of the community.
Dhagena is designed to address the whole problem rather than treatment alone — it takes account of everything connected to the people it treats and seeks a solution across all of it.
Alongside the help given to people who use drugs, Dhagena also aims to provide the support and assistance their families need, and to secure the support and assistance those families require from within the community.
